eMotion FLEET

The fleet consists of both e-Bikes and regular bicycles. Both pedal assist and standard bicycles are available in varying designs and varying applications to varying personnel as well.

eMotion fleet comprises top brands like Specialized, Trek, Twitter, etc to Galanz, Montra, etc. We also carry several brands and types of eBikes like WALT-X, eLife, Nuvo, etc. Our bicycles are available in sizes ranging from 14 inches to 20 inches or 46 cm to 60 cm. Please check the availability before ordering.

Bike hire can be obtained for short and longer tours. Depending on the destination, length of tour, and type of bike, hire costs vary. Please write to us at for complete details on bike availability and hire costs.


E-bikes can help manage long distances and climbing terrain through the use of a pedal-activated electric motor. Unlike other e-bikes, “pedal-assisted” e-bikes feel more natural to the rider.

We recommend e-bikes for riders interested in tours that might normally be too challenging for them, or for groups of riders with mixed ability. E-bikes assist long-distance and/or more challenging terrain.


We usually do not offer helmets, as it is a safety-related thing. You may even bring a saddle of your own, lights, or SPD pedals, we will fit them to the bike you choose.

Helmets, rear bike racks, rear panniers, lights, handlebar bags, phone holders, Car carriers, and more can be rented and fitted to mountain or hybrid frames at an additional fee.

Baby seats, and child bikes for children are also available on demand.

Other terms:

  • A refundable deposit of USD 150 / LKR 50,000 for STD bikes and USD 300/LKR 100,000 for e-bikes/premium bikes.
  • All running repairs (usage-related) less than USD 10 per repair are to be borne by the client.
  • All repairs above USD 10 to be informed to eMotion in advance, and will be reimbursed upon WhatsApp approval/submission of bills.
  • Remote assistance will be available on demand. Subject to applicable charges.
  • The client is bound to return the Bike to eMotion in the same condition (subject to general wear and tare). Any damages will be deducted from the deposit.

Transport can be arranged to any location on the island at an additional cost or to be collected from our store in Colombo. Returning the bikes should be to our store or from anywhere on the island at a fee.

To service and prepare your bike, you need to submit your rental request/confirmed order a minimum of 1 week in advance.
